HOW MANY BMW Z3 ARE LEFT?

There are 8,909 BMW Z3 left on the road in the UK (i.e. with valid road tax). There are a further 7,131 BMW Z3 that are currently SORNED.

The total number of BMW Z3 was highest during 2003 Q4 (21,644). The number taxed topped out in 2003 Q4 and the total SORNed was at its maximum during 2024 Q4.

Since the total peaked, some 5,604 (26%) BMW Z3 have been scrapped or exported.

During 2023 Q4 the number of BMW Z3 that were off the road (SORN) exceeded the number that were licensed for the first time. This could indicate the owners are reluctant to sell or scrap their car as they view them as a potential future classic.

In the last 10 years the total number of BMW Z3 has fallen by 3,537. Licensed models have fallen by 8,224 and the SORNed total has increased by 4,687.

The 5 year trend shows a total decline of 1,660 BMW Z3 models. Taxed models have declined by 2,634 and the SORNed total has increased by 974.

56% of the surviving 16,040 BMW Z3 in the UK are still on the road.
