HOW MANY TGB ARE LEFT?

There are 664 TGB left on the road in the UK (i.e. with valid road tax). There are a further 271 TGB that are currently SORNED.

There are currently more TGB, in total, than ever before. The number taxed topped out in 2025 Q2 and the total SORNed was at its maximum during 2025 Q2.

During 2017 Q4 the number of TGB that were off the road (SORN) exceeded the number that were licensed for the first time. This could indicate the owners are reluctant to sell or scrap their car as they view them as a potential future classic.

The 5 year trend shows an overall increase of 791 TGB models. Taxed models have grown by 532 and the SORNed total has increased by 259.

71% of the surviving 935 TGB in the UK are still on the road.
