There are 1,590 LDV 400 SERIES left on the road in the UK (i.e. with valid road tax). There are a further 10,668 LDV 400 SERIES that are currently SORNED.
The total number of LDV 400 SERIES was highest during 2004 Q4 (81,606). The number taxed topped out in 2004 Q4 and the total SORNed was at its maximum during 2020 Q4.
Since the total peaked, some 69,348 (85%) LDV 400 SERIES have been scrapped or exported.
During 2017 Q3 the number of LDV 400 SERIES that were off the road (SORN) exceeded the number that were licensed for the first time. This could indicate the owners are reluctant to sell or scrap their car as they view them as a potential future classic.
