HOW MANY LADA ARE LEFT?

There are 188 LADA left on the road in the UK (i.e. with valid road tax). There are a further 753 LADA that are currently SORNED.

The total number of LADA was highest during 1994 Q4 (134,297). The number taxed topped out in 1994 Q4 and the total SORNed was at its maximum during 2007 Q4.

Since the total peaked, some 133,356 (99%) LADA have been scrapped or exported.

During 2007 Q4 the number of LADA that were off the road (SORN) exceeded the number that were licensed for the first time. This could indicate the owners are reluctant to sell or scrap their car as they view them as a potential future classic.

In the last 10 years the total number of LADA has gained 125. Licensed models have fallen by 2 and the SORNed total has increased by 127.

The 5 year trend shows an overall increase of 72 LADA models. Taxed models have grown by 26 and the SORNed total has increased by 46.

80% of the remaining 941 LADA in the UK are currently off the road.
